Khawhar Hnemtu 1.2.1

The book titled Khawhar Hnemtu is published by the Dinthar Branch of the Young Mizo Association (YMA) in the Taitesena Section. This collection of Mizo folk songs was first introduced in 2011, with an initial print run of 2,000 copies. A revised and enlarged second edition was published in 2016, maintaining the same print quantity.

The collection aims to preserve and promote Mizo cultural heritage through its songs. It is worth noting that as of May 2017, the book can be accessed for effective utilization by the community.

The anthology includes a diverse array of 214 folk songs that reflect the rich musical traditions of the region. The selections are not only significant culturally but also showcase the historical narratives and values of the Mizo people.
